Just How Good is the Aeros Loop Studio ?

Possibly the most under-rated and overlooked Loop Station around, the Aeros Loop Studio is also one of the best available today. Originally released in Sept of 2019, and a Gold Edition in 2023 with silent foot switches, the Aeros Loop Studio stands as one of only three loop stations to offer up to 6 tracks of Looping awesomeness. Of those three, only two of them provide 6 STEREO tracks. (The EHX95000 was only 6 MONO tracks). This leaves the Areos Loop Studio and the Boss RC600 as the two front-runners in the looping world today. They are the only Loop pedals to offer 6 Stereo Channels available today.

That being said, these two great loopers are vastly different animals without much in common, other than having 6 stereo tracks at your disposal. And so, we are comparing apples to oranges if we just leave it at that.

There are so many features to list, Lets just get the main specs out of the way.

What About Rhythms & Drums??

You may have noticed that so far, there has been no mention of any onboard rhythms or internal drums or built-in metronomes in the Aeros. And that is because there AREN’T any !!

So What Gives??

One of the things that really sets this machine apart from other Loopstations, is a seemless integration with other products from Singular Sound. Primarily, their Beat Buddy series of pedals are very much natively intertwined into the Aeros architecture, and provide so much more flexability than could ever be added to any Loop Station as an added bonus. Singular Sound has opted to NOT compete with itself, as it already has an entire series of great drum/rhythm pedals on the market. The latest incarnation in the series, the Beat Buddy 2, is designed to perfectly match the Aeros Gold Edition, both in function and in appearance – They didn’t try to re-create the wheel, as they already had one!! Yes this means more of a financial commitment, but it also means the best of both worlds!!

But There’s Only 4 Foot Switches ??

Another advantage the Aeros has over other Loopers is it’s size. This is the smallest 6 track Looper around, so it won’t take over your pedalboard’s real estate. In lieu of switches, you have a small footprint, and you could always add more control via the built-in external pedal port, and/or via Midi. Yes, Singular Sound also makes Midi Controllers, External Foot Switches and also a Superswitch that will give you enormous expandability to do absolutely everything you can imagine.

There is very little that the Aeros Loop Studio cannot accomodate in regards to Looping, Performing, or Studio Recording. All in all, Singular Sound has got your back in every way with their full ecosystem of offerings.
