The Boomerang III Phrase Sampler – Release Date: Sept 2009
One of the most loved Loopers around, the Boomerang III Phrase Sampler (the ‘Rang) has been the centre piece of many looping musicians all over world, primarily (it seems) in Australia/New Zealand, Asia & South America.
It also has a presence in the North American market, where it is actually from!! Hailing from Dallas Texas, the Boomerang III Phrase Sampler was a labour of love created by Mike Nelson and Lee Hardesty. The company was later acquired in 2017 by Alex Kova, who continues to manage the company.
Possibly the easiest and most intuitive of all the full blown Loop Stations, this beast of a rig can accommodate an add-on Expression Pedal and/or a Boomerang Side Car pedal for greatly expanded control and flexibility.
Up to 4 Looping tracks, Stereo or Dual Mono inputs, Stereo or Dual Mono outputs, separate volume knobs for each track, some on-board effects, multiple play modes and more, this machine is just very well thought out & designed for simplicity. You’ll do well to obtain this looper and it’s Sidecar if you ever stumble across one…
