Ditto 2 – Release Date: April 2025
The second incarnation of the great Ditto Looper, the Ditto 2 steps the game up in several ways. The foot switch itself has been greatly upgraded to a larger button, magnetic mechanism that immediately feels much superior to the original Ditto pedal. A new multi colour LED indicator light lets you know what the current state of the pedal is: Recording, playback, overdubbing, paused, or clear. There is a new ‘LoopSnap’ feature which can correct slight timing errors when you’re performing. Think of this a a simple ‘Loop Sync’ setting. With the Analogue Dry-Thru, and the True-Bypass that can be enabled thru the app, your tone is as close to perfect as you can get!! You now have 10 minutes of loop time, and as before, previous loops will have a slight volume drop as you add overdub layers. This looper can retain your tracks when you pull the plug & power off, so when you come back you can pick up with the same track, right where you left off (as long as you didn’t clear the track before powering off).
There are now two different user profiles to choose from, accessed via a toggle switch on the right hand side:
The ‘Ditto’ setting offers Standard single foot switch operation: Press once to record, press again to play, press again to overdub, double press to pause, press & hold to clear.
The ‘User’ setting adds gives you the LoopSnap feature, and Single-Tap-Looping mode, Record, Play & Clear – (eliminating the need for a double tap)
The ‘Pair” setting allows you to pair your pedal to your cell phone or tablet to control various settings via TC Electronc app, which will become your new “User” settings. You can decide what your single tap will do, and whether the LoopSnap is activated.
