Release date: July 2020

The EHX 1440 Stereo Loop pedal derives its name from the total loop time of 1,440 seconds. This has been the naming convention throughout much of Electro-Harmonix’s looping line up. This translates to 24 minutes of uncompressed 24 bit, 44.1 khz audio that can be stored in 20 separate memory locations. This means that you can store up to 20 different Looping projects and retrieve them at will.
The 1440 offers the usual unlimited overdubbing and Undo/Redo and much more. This loop pedal gives you very adjustable precision of variable tempo playback options, Reverse Track, and Octave effects that can really spice up your looping life! There is a One-Shot setting, adjustable Fade-Out time, and an external foot switch port that can add Loop Selection and the Undo/Redo functions to your pedal board. You’ll be able to assign the function of your 2nd onboard foot switch to act as a Stop button, Reverse/Octave effect, or Loop Re-trigger. Fully controllable Loop Decay is definitely a welcome feature, and is absolutely available with the 1440 Stereo Looper, though this detail might not be mentioned in many reviews and possibly not even in the documentation.
Using the Loop Manager app, you can easily export you tracks in or out of the pedal for backup or to use in your DAW, using the Micro-USB port at the back of the pedal. You could absolutely import drum/rhythm tracks if you have them available! In fact, the 1440 can utilize almost any type of audio file you may have on your computer.
There is a Midi In port, however it only allows the pedal to receive timing data from an external Midi Clock. It can not send any Midi signals out, nor can it receive CC or PC signals.
Of coarse you can select between Record/Play/Overdub or Record/Overdub Play modes, and a 9.6vdc, 200ma power adapter is included. There is no battery compartment on this unit.
