The Boss RC-5 is currently the most advanced of the single track, single foot switch loopers in the Boss line up.
The RC-5 gives you stereo input/output, up to 13 hrs of stereo recording in 32 bit 44.1Khz quality, 99 memory locations, USB-B connectivity for import/export of your loops and/or backing tracks from Tone Studio, and firmware updates and resore files.

The built in Drum machine features 7 different drum kits and 57 various rhythm patterns. There are options for how the drums start, stop, and how they operate. There is a rudimentary Beat-Detect so that the drums may match your recorded loop’s tempo, or you can use a Tap Tempo or a fine-adjust tempo knob. The drums can even have their own reverb effect applied. Time signatures however, cannot be adjusted while the drums are playing, you need to turn the drums off in order to change the time signature.
You are able to change Rhythm variations on the fly and much more, using Midi commands. There are 1/8″ TRS Midi In & Out ports available that give you a lot more flexability !!
